Once there was a time when magic was real, and the source of all magic was the Book of Miracles... magic belonged to everyone. Until now. On the darkest night of the year, at the exact moment of the eclipse, a young girl is to be initiated into the community of adult magicians. Just as the dark moon passes in front of the light moon the Book of Miracles is stolen by the evil Geddon ...and only she can retrieve it. 'The Book of Miracles' is a fairy tale about good and evil, rites of passage, and the fear of the unknown. Originally produced by Roseneath Theatre of Toronto, and performed in a number of countries worldwide, the play is designed for 7-11 year-olds, and can be performed both in schools and in small theatre venues. This production played to over 3000 children in Nottinghamshire schools during February and March of 2001. The play is accompanied in schools by a pack of resources for teachers including ideas for follow-up in Literacy, Drama, and PSE. 'The Book of Miracles' toured south east England and again Nottinghamshire throughout the Spring of 2002 including performances at: |
